Description

The City of Monroe is seeking bids from qualified individuals or firms to provide real estate and relocation services for the acquisition of five (5) parcels from willing and voluntary sellers. Four (4) parcels are residential and one (1) parcel is commercial. Properties were identified for possible acquisition by the City of Monroe, Michigan (City) utilizing funding awarded by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance PDM grant. While the funding source is FEMA, the program is administered by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. Policies and procedures established via federal guidelines and FEMA will be utilized for this project.

Services requested will consist of managing the real estate acquisition and determination of eligible relocation benefits according to 49 CFR Part 24 - Uniform Relocation Assistance and Relocation Policies Act of 1970 (URA), as amended.
