The City Clerk of Monroe, Michigan will receive electronic proposals until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Monday, August 10, 2020, for WATER SERVICE FIELD VERIFICATION BID, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) online bidding website. The bids will be publicly open and read aloud via a Zoom on line meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020. Anyone that would like to participate in the bid opening must send a request email to edward.sell@monroemi.gov by August 7, 2020 to receive an email invitation to the opening.
The Water Department is seeking bids to perform field verification services at various locations within the City of Monroe Water Distribution System retail service area. Currently, there are approximately 800 service locations that have some portion of the service line that is UNKNOWN. The system is subject to EGLE lead and copper regulatory requirements to determine the UNKNOWN service line portion. The attached list are the locations that has some portion that is UNKNOWN and requires field verification. Bids are to include all costs to complete the field verification work including all labor, materials, design, engineering, equipment, transportation, MISSDIG coordination, site restoration, etc. Award will be based on available budget were an estimated 400 sites is programmed. Bids shall be on a per site basis; up to 400 sites will be awarded as budget allows.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, to modify quantities and to make award in the best interest of the City.
