The City Clerk of Monroe, Michigan will receive electronic proposals only until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Monday, February 22, 2021, for WATER TREATMENT PLANT STEAM BOILER REPLACEMENTS, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) online bidding website. The bids will be publicly open and read aloud via a Zoom on line meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021. Anyone that would like to participate in the bid opening must send a request email to edward.sell@monroemi.gov to receive an email invitation to the opening.
The bid request is for the furnishing of all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision related to the removal of existing boilers and furnishing and installing new steam boilers and other appurtenances necessary for the completion of the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Please see attached bid specifications for all details and requirements.
The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals. A bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Monroe in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be posted by each bidder with his / her bid. The bond must be from a company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan. Company and personal checks are not acceptable. No bidder may withdraw his bid within THIRTY (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipts of bids.
