REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF BUILDING & SAFETY ENGINEERING DIVISION SERVICES October 22, 2010 PUBLIC NOTICE TO PROPONENTS: Proposals will be received at the City Clerk’s Office, 47450 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan 48342, until 4:00 p.m. local time on Monday, November 22, 2010 for the following: MANAGEMENT, ADMINISTRATION AND PROVISION OF ALL BUILDING & SAFETY ENGINEERING DIVISION SERVICES including TECHNICAL (BUILDING, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL), HOUSING, LICENSING and CODE ENFORCEMENT, PLAN REVIEW, PERMITTING, and INSPECTIONS. All proposals shall be separately bound with four (4) copies provided. Proposal submittals shall also include all of the pages listed in this Request for Proposals. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on Friday, October 22, 2010 and may be obtained at the City’s website at: http://www.pontiac,mi.us/departments/finance_purchasing .html and http://www.pontiac.mi.us/departments/dpw_engineeringservices.htm . The City will not accept responses via fax or electronic transmission. Pre-Proposal Meeting. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Pontiac, City Hall, 47450 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan 48342 on the second floor in the City Council chambers. Proponents will be required to comply with all Michigan statutory prohibitions against discrimination in employment and with contract compliance requirements in reference to employment opportunities for City of Pontiac residents. No proposal, once submitted, may be withdrawn for at least 180 days after the actual opening of the proposals.
