Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Furnish all labor, material and equipment to remove four (4) existing raw sewage pumps, piping, valves, and ancillary equipment and install four (4) new raw sewage pumps, piping, and valves, for a complete installation to pump from two wet wells, including crossover pipework and isolation valves. Provide and install new electrical components to upgrade the pump station. The scope includes new variable frequency drives, control panel, bubblers systems, radar level transmitters, magnetic flow meter and pressure transducers. Additional interior work includes HVAC upgrades, lighting upgrades, new smoke detectors and interior painting.

Exterior work includes constructing a new poured concrete access vault over the existing wetwells including poured concrete, hatches, ladders, etc. Additional site work includes poured concrete approach, site grading, seeding, etc. Complete work per project plans and specifications.

Bidding documents, including drawings and project manual contract documents, including instruction to bidders, proposal form, and specifications may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website by BidNet Connect, located at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on September 14, 2021. All Bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of Port Huron via MITN and are required to have a representative at the mandatory pre-bid meeting for their bid to be responsive.
The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates.

All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
