JOB DESCRIPTION:
Furnish all labor, material and equipment to mechanically dredge approximately 0-6,000 cubic yards of sand from the Lake Huron entrance of the Black River Canal and deposit dredged material waterward of Lake Huron’s edge and no farther than the second sand bar within approximately 820-foot long area along Conger Street between Holland Avenue and 3470 Conger Street or along the approximately 1,250 feet long area at Lakeside Park, complete, as per the project specifications and in accordance with Department of Army and EGLE/MDEQ permits.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, by mail in the office of the City Controller, Room 217, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, or in person in the City Clerk’s office, 1st floor, of the Municipal Office Center, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Public Meeting Room of the aforesaid Municipal Office Center.
Bidding documents including drawings and project manual contract documents, including instruction to bidders form, agreement and specifications may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website by BidNet Connect, Located at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on Monday, January 31, 2022. All Bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of Port Huron via MITN.

A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose.

The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, and insurance certificates.

All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
