Sealed bids will be received by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, by mail or in person in the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan 48060, until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Public Meeting Room of the aforementioned Municipal Office Center.
Bidding documents, including drawings and project manual contract documents, including instruction to bidders, proposal form, and specifications may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) website by BidNet Connect, located at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on Monday, January 30, 2024. All Bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of Port Huron via MITN.
A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose.
The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates.
All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
