The City of Port Huron, Michigan is seeking respondents to a Request for Proposals from qualified
nature adventure {bike and walking) trail design-build contractor for the purpose of designing and
building a biking adventure trail within the wooded area of 16th Street Park, 2600 16th Street, Port
Huron, Michigan 48060. Refer to enclosed maps for location details. The final linear feet is be
determined during design process and dependent upon site conditions, set back requirements, utility
easements, estimated cost per square footage and other factors as deemed appropriate; however, with
a minimum width of 6'-8' and length expectation of 2,500 feet (including connectors as shown on
preliminary plan). The current budget for design, site prep, infrastructure, and construction is not to
exceed $45,000.
This project is being funded in part with proceeds from a Michigan Department of Natural Resources
Spark Fund Grant and may be required to follow related federal, state and local orders, policies,
executive directives, public acts and ordinances as deemed necessary. Contractor must comply with
applicable and related requirements including, but not limited to, the 1976 PA 453 (Elliot-Larsen Civil
Rights Act); the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), as amended; and in
