The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting quotations for Replacement Headstones Old Monuments for use at the three (3) City owned cemeteries on an as needed basis - Van Hoosen Jones Stoney Creek Cemetery, 570 E. Tienken, Rochester, Michigan 48306; Brewster Cemetery on Brewster Road, Rochester Hills; and/or the Old Stoney Creek Cemetery, on Letica Road, Rochester, Michigan, for a three (3) year period. The stones are replacements for old monuments that have been damaged beyond repair (generally due to age of original material and, on rare occasions, due to vandalism).

All questions should be directed to the attention of: Keri J. Bright, CPPB, Purchasing Analyst, Email: brightk@rochesterhills.org. All questions must be in writing and made prior to October 29, 2020 @ 11:30 a.m., at which time a response will be prepared and forwarded to all vendors as an amendment, or an addendum to the quotation, if such information would be of significance to uninformed vendors. Questions received after the date and time above will not be considered.
Vendors are specifically directed to not contact other City staff; unauthorized contact of any City Department employee may result in rejection of submittal. It shall be the contractor’s responsibility to make inquiry as to changes or addenda issued. All such changes or addenda shall become a part of the contract and all contractors shall be bound by such changes or addenda. Addendums will be posted on the MITN system.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes quotation documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of quotation documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain quotation documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting www.mitn.info to link to the MITN website. Final quotation results will be posted on the MITN website after award.
As this Solicitation for Quotation is being made available by electronic means, the contractor accepts full responsibility to ensure that no changes are made to the Solicitation for Quotation documents. In the event of conflict between a version of the Solicitation for Quotation submitted by contractor and the version maintained by the City of Rochester Hills Purchasing Division shall govern.
The submission of a quotation hereunder shall be considered evidence that the contractor is satisfied with respect to the conditions to be encountered, and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed..
No contract will be automatically renewed at the end of any contract term.
The proposer shall be required to perform and complete the proposed work in a thorough and workmanlike manner and to furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment, material and supplies, except as may otherwise be specified as “furnished by the City.”
The proposer shall not subcontract any or all portions of the work unless the City grants prior written approval. Any subcontractor, as approved, shall be bound by the terms and conditions of this contract.
Appropriate insurance coverage shall be maintained during the length of the contract.
