Summary of Specifications:
The City of Romulus Fire Department is seeking contract pricing for the protective clothing used by the department during structural fire fighting operations. Pricing shall be firm and guaranteed for all purchases made through 12/31/2015 at a minimum. It is the intension of the Romulus Fire Department to initially purchase a minimum of 12 sets of the turn-out gear based upon the following specifications. It is the intent of the Department to purchase approximately seven to ten additional sets when funding is secured for the next budget year but with delivery not to be received prior to 7/1/2015. To be considered your company must specialize in this type of product/service and have performed the services listed in the ITB documents. All turn out gear shall be new, unused, and constructed of the highest quality materials. The gear shall perform at or beyond all minimum levels regarding safety & protection, wear ability, maintenance, appearance, life expectancy, and all other areas as required as part of National Fire Protection Association most recent (NFPA) Standard, Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSHA) most recent standard and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Standard currently in effect for protective clothing.
