Summary of Specifications:
City of Romulus ITB 10/11-02 Police Station Generator Replacement
Bids shall be received for a single prime contract. The project includes removal and replacement of the back-up generator and related electrical improvements at the City of Romulus Police Station. New generator shall be 125kW natural gas with outdoor enclosure.
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, July 15, 2010, and publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Romulus.
Bids shall be submitted, in duplicate, on forms supplied by the Architect and should be in an envelope and clearly marked:“

Specifications are available from the office of the Architect, OHM, 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150 (734) 522.6711; (734) 522.6427 – FAX. Plans and specifications are also available for viewing on our website @www.ohm-advisors.com
Prime contractors may receive up to three (3) sets and subcontractors and material suppliers may receive one (1) set. Prior to receiving plans and specifications, bidders shall submit a document deposit with two separate checks as follows: Planholders are to submit one check made payable to OHM for a $40.00 non-refundable handling fee.
Plans and specifications are placed on file with CAD/CA, Dodge Reports, McGraw Hill, Repromax, Reed Construction and the Washtenaw Contractors Association.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the City of Romulus for 5% of the base bid or by a satisfactory bid bond executed on AIA Form A310, or other form acceptable to the Architect.
Bidders will attend a conducted tour at the site on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. The Engineer will meet bidders and conduct them about the premises.
No bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for bid opening.
Special attention is brought to minimum wage and fringe benefit requirements to be paid under this contract.
The City will not consider or accept any bid received after the date and time specified.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all formalities and irregularities in the bids received.
