Summary of Specifications:
1) The City of Romulus is accepting design build proposals for an ornamental aluminum, double entrance gate with decorative archway to be installed by the awarded Contractor at the Romulus Memorial Cemetery located on 10202 Shook Road, Romulus, MI 48174. The design and installation of the entrance gate and archway shall be clearly outlined in the proposal submitted the Contractor. All proposals shall include a detailed cut sheet of the proposed ornamental gate and archway with footings/foundation. The company shall provide a separate price for the double gates and the archway as well as a lump sum price for the installation of both on the proposal pricing sheet provided herein. The City of Romulus, shall at its discretion, based upon the price and design received, award the project for only the arch or only the gate or for the completed project. The gate and archway shall not be integral and must be able to be installed separately. (2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit proposals must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (3) Two (2) copies of the proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30, Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed using the Bid package label provided herein. (4) At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received proposals are to be publicly opened and read. (5) The City reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to waive irregularities.
