Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield (“City”) invites written proposals from qualified firms interested in providing consulting services related to cable franchise renewal – specifically in the area of providing a community cable-related needs assessment. The City’s current franchise agreement with Comcast expires in March, 2014. Pursuant to the franchise renewal provisions defined by 47 USC 546, the City will conduct community outreach to help identify the future cable-related needs and interests of resident and Comcast cable system customers. The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a firm, fixed- price agreement with a qualified consultant to undertake and provide a Community Needs Assessment related to Southfield’s proposed renewal of the Comcast cable franchise.
