ITB-15-028 - Investerment Consultant for the City of Southfield SERS

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield (the “City”) intends to secure a contract for investment consultant services for the Southfield Employees Retirement System. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to define the City’s minimum requirements, solicit proposals and to gain adequate information from which the City may evaluate such proposals. The Southfield Employees Retirement System enabling ordinance names the City Council as the Trustee of the System’s assets. The Southfield Employees Retirement System (SERS) Board is responsible for administration of the Retirement System. The City of Southfield will be the party to the contract with the Investment Consultant. The SERS Board meets with the Investment Consultant on a regular monthly basis to review the investments on behalf of the City Council. The Investment Consultant also meets as needed with the City Council to review the investments and recommend changes as deemed necessary.
