Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield, MI is a provider of multiple services to more than 78,000 residents and the surrounding communities. The City of Southfield has an immediate need for Network Engineering services. The Network Engineer will be expected to do, but not limited to, the following services: ƒ® Augment the existing Technology Services Staff. ƒ® Provide technical expertise with new technology and existing infrastructure. (i.e. Wireless security, Altiris, etc.) ƒ® Solid understanding of SAN, NAS and how they work with other networking components include BackupExec software. ƒ® Provide advanced technical expertise with regard to all Microsoft products (Group Policy, SMS, AD, Exchange 2007/2010, SQL 2005, Windows Server 2003 /2008, etc.) ƒ® Ability to assist with Cisco VoIP environment as well as Cisco switches and routers. ƒ® Provide day-to-day technical support for internal staff if assistance is required. The City of Southfield is seeking to identify and select a consulting firm to perform the activities listed above. The content of this document provides additional information to allow an IT consulting company the ability to understand the scope and develop a detailed proposal in a specified format.
