Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield, Oakland County, Michigan, will receive bids at the office of the City Clerk, 26000 Evergreen Road, P.O. Box 2055, Southfield, Michigan, 48037-2055 up to 2:30 P.M., and Local Time on November 9, 2011 for the Valley Woods Wetlands Restoration Project requiring the following work: 1. Mobilization 2. Access Road 3. Excavation soil/sediment materials in areas of treated phragmites stands 4. Earthwork at existing ditches 5. Riprap at existing ditches 6. Re-vegetation 7. Restoration Project questions can be directed to Ms. Merrie Carlock at mcarlock@cityofsouthfield.com until 12:00pm on October 26, 2011. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 27, 2011, 10:30 am at the site. The meeting will be held at the site located at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Denso Drive. A certified check, cash or surety bid bond payable to the City of Southfield for a sum not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the Proposal shall be required with each Proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and material, and maintenance and guarantee bonds in the amount of 100% of the project.
