RFP-BB-2012-6 - 2012-2013 Cold Water Meters Purchasing Contract

Summary of Specifications:
The City of St. Clair Shores is currently replacing the water meters and outside reading devices with new water meters and KP Radio Transmitter devices at our 25,367 drinking water accounts. City personnel are working to replace the remaining 18,000 water meters over a three (3) year period. Any water meters proposed must be 100% compatible with the City’s KP Radio Transmitting system. Any additional equipment/software proposed by the vendor for integration into the City’s current system will not be accepted. All cold water meters furnished shall be new, produced in an ISO 9001 manufacturing facility and conform to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards listed below by size and type. All meters are required to be assembled in the United States of America and each must be supplied with a test certificate with results that meet or exceed AWWA new meter accuracy standards as listed below. All meters offered shall have been in continual manufacture for at least ten years.
