Summary of Specifications:
The City of Sterling Heights, acting as contract administrator, is receiving bids for the Mowing and Maintenance of the Hall Road (M-59) Median, slopes, and right-of-ways from Dequindre to I-94. The successful bidder must be able to furnish all maintenance, labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform this Contract. Although this median goes through several communities (Sterling Heights, Utica, Shelby Township, Clinton Township and Macomb Township), the City of Sterling Heights will act as contract administrator. This project is to be substantially funded by a Contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) on a yearly renewable basis. The award of this contract is conditioned upon getting approval from MDOT as well as from the City Council of the City of Sterling Heights. In the event MDOT does not provide sufficient funding to the City of Sterling Heights for this project, the City shall have the option of not awarding the Contract. The work contemplated by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment to perform all work required for the mowing and maintenance of the Hall Road (M-59) median, slopes, and right-of-ways from Dequindre to I-94. This work is to be done April through October, weather permitting. Should weather conditions prevent this starting and/or ending date, adjustment can be made with the approval of the City.
