Summary of Specifications:
The City of Sterling Heights, Michigan, is accepting sealed bids for PAVEMENT STRIPING. This bid shall include the restriping/marking of crosswalks, school crossings, stop bars, arrows or other special paving markings. Professional street striping service for the striping of road under the jurisdiction and within the corporate limits of the City of Sterling Heights, Michigan, designated by the Department of Public Works for striping in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specification herein mentioned. All striping shall be in accordance with existing striping, unless a variation is ordered by the City. The Contractor shall be provided with a detailed layout of the type, length and width of all striping called for on new, resurfaced or redesigned roadways. The City’s Office of Engineering will prepare all such layouts. All pavement marking eradication must be performed, according to section 811 of the 2003 Standard Specifications for Construction, using acceptable modern practices. All pavement striping designated for eradication must be completely removed so as to ensure a faint residue of the removed pavement stripe does not confuse the motoring public.
