The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Home Rehab. This rehab project calls for a roof replacement. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act.
Per local policy both a performance and payment bond equivalent to the full value of this contract will ONLY be required (prior to beginning work) if the contract amount exceeds $50,000. Taxes and permit fees DO apply.

From the Engineer’s Specifications (Also attached separately):
“We have inspected the house at 16627 Ziegler and recommend the removal and complete reshingle of
the existing roof. The existing roof requires complete removal and replacement with new 30 year
dimensional shingles, #15 underlayment, drip edge, ice shield and to include new bird proof vents or
ridge vent to match existing venting type and all necessary flashing at stacks and vents, it is estimated that
this will require 12-13 squares of shingles. Replacement of any necessary roof sheathing is also to be
included with 6 boards to be included in the base bid. Shingle color per owner. Removal and
reinstallation of existing gutters and downspout will also be required.”
