The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Home Rehab. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act.
Per local policy both a performance and payment bond equivalent to the full value of this contract will ONLY be required (prior to beginning work) if the contract amount exceeds $50,000. Taxes and permit fees DO apply.
We are seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace the sewer lead at 7530 Huron Street. A video inspection revealed a collapsed clay crock pipe near the rear sewer connection, requiring full replacement with Schedule 40 PVC pipe. The project includes excavation, removal of the existing pipe, proper installation of new piping, and backfilling with appropriate materials. Restoration work includes grass seeding and matching the patio’s original finish. Contractors must obtain Miss Dig clearance and ensure all work meets code. Interested bidders should submit proposals covering labor, materials, and project timelines.
