RFQ-RM-2021-11-1-001 - CDBG Roof Replacement

The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Roof. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount shall be required upon execution of the contract and prior to beginning work.

Roof Replacement

• Remove existing shingles - to be replaced after the following items are addressed
• Remove existing 7/16" OSB plywood and replace with 1/2" OSB or Plywood with spacer clips (Make sure plywood is fully supported on rafters)
• Remove existing Ice and Water Shield if required by removal of 7/16" OSB re-install Ice and Water Shield to a minimum of 36" beyond interior walls
• Remove existing flashing and enough vinyl siding to allow for new flashing to be installed properly to sheathing, not insulation layer.
• Remove and replace any damaged siding, J Channel and corner bead siding
• Install roof felt or synthetic underlayment and Ice/Water Shield per manufacturer specifications
• Install new 30 year Dimensional shingles and flashing, use counter flashing where appropriate (Supply Warranty)
