Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bid proposals to FURNISH ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIAL, AND LABOR FOR LEAD PAINT ABATEMENT AND STAINING OF THE EXTERIOR OF THE WAGON SHOP LOCATED AT THE TROY HISTORICAL MUSEUM will be received by the City of Troy at the office of the City Clerk.
A cashier’s check, certified check, or money order in the amount of 10% of the bid amount must accompany the bid to insure the bid. The two lowest unsuccessful bidders will have their bid surety returned after the bid award. BID BONDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. The bid deposit of the successful bidder will be retained as performance surety until successful completion and acceptance of the project.

Bidders should examine the site to determine the amount of work to be done in accordance with the specifications. If a bidder does not make a site inspection, that bidder, accepts full responsibility and risk for any errors or omissions in his/her bid proposal. Site visits are scheduled with the Museum Manager for the days and times listed in the bid proposal.
The entire project, weather permitting and in accordance with the manufacturer’s application directions, should be completed by June 15, 2009.
