Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals for the INSTALLATION OF BARE ROOT STREET TREES, FALL 2008 AND SPRING 2009 will be received by the City of Troy at the office of the City Clerk, 500 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084. For additional information or questions concerning this project, please contact Mr. Ron Hynd, Landscape Analyst at (248) 680-7293. A cashier’s check, certified check, or money order in the amount of $2,000.00 must accompany the bid to insure the bid. The two lowest unsuccessful bidders will have their bid surety returned after the bid award. BID BONDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. The bid surety will be returned to the successful bidder(s) upon submission of a contract security in the form of a Performance, Labor and Material Payment, and two-year Maintenance Bonds in accordance with specifications. Bonds acceptable to the City in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price in accordance with specifications and shall be delivered to the City of Troy Risk Management Office. The bonds shall remain in effect for a period of two (2) years or until all necessary replacements have been accepted. All other bidders will have their bid deposits returned after the bid has been opened.
