The City of Utica, Macomb County, Michigan, is soliciting bids to replace two back-up generators, one located inside the generator room at the Utica Police Department, 7550 Auburn Road, Utica, Mi, and the other located outside the Utica Fire Department, 7609 Auburn Rd, Utica, MI. The scope of the project involves disconnecting, removing, and disposing of the existing generators and replacing them with new natural gas-powered emergency generators and automatic transfer switches in the same locations. Existing gas lines and electrical conduits will be modified to connect to the new generators. The remote annunciator at the fire station will be relocated from the electrical room to a hallway adjacent to the Fire Chief's office. Intake louvers on the south side of the Police Department generator room will be removed and reinstalled. An optional bid for a 100KW generator for the Police Department shall be included. This project is funded in part by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
The City of Utica reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders should contact Police Chief Matthew Kaluzny, mkaluzny@uticapd.org, to arrange for a site visit at the Police and Fire Departments.
