Restoration of Closed Blue Body Slide
At the City of Warren Community Center
5460 Arden, Warren MI 48092

Purpose:
It is the intent of the City of Warren to request quotes from qualified vendors to refinish and restore the closed blue body slide located in the Warren Community Center Pool located at 5460 Arden, Warren, MI 48092.

Scope of Services:
The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools and materials needed to perform the restoration of the Closed Blue Body Slide.
            -Restore Interior (Polish & Wax)
            -Resurface Exterior
            -Re-caulk Interior Riding Path Seams
            -Perform Minor Fiberglass Repairs
The approximate total square footage of the closed blue slide is 2,580. The diameter is approximately 36” and 154’ long.

Specifications:

Remove all calcium build-up, dirt grime and suntan oils from the interior and/or exterior slide surface using SlideRenu high PH rescaling solution, Calcitrol™ and SlideDetergent™, a high PH surface degreaser specifically formulated to remove tough surface contaminants on water slides.
Sand the interior and exterior waterslide surface to create an adequate adhesion profile for the SlideRenu Aquatic Coating System.
Remove all powder and dust created from sanding the surface with a high pressure air hose, commercial vacuum cleaner or pressure washer attached to a de-ionizing water filter.
Wipe the interior and exterior surface to be resurfaced with a fast evaporating solvent-based surface cleaner and adhesion promoter prior to applying the SlideRenu Adhesion Base Coat (ABC) deep penetrating fiberglass primer.
Remove surface rust from the slide bolts exposed on all exterior fiberglass flanges, if applicable, using a wire wheel/brush and spot prime with SlideRenu Rust Armor rust-inhibitor coating.
Apply SlideRenu ABC deep penetrating fiberglass primer to create a chemical bond to the interior water slide surface and tie-coat to the SlideRenu ColorShield aquatic color barrier coating.
Apply SlideRenu ColorShield aquatic color barrier coating, after the ABC deep penetrating fiberglass primer has cured for 24 hours.
Apply ChloraShield clear chlorine and abrasion resistant top coat, after the ColorShield color barrier coating has cured for 24 hours.
Wet-sand the ChloraShield clear chlorine and abrasion resistant coating on all interior surfaces to remove any undesirable surface imperfections, airborne contaminants and positive or negative profiles that may arise after the final curing stage.
Apply SlideRenu SlideGloss™ finishing wax to the interior riding path surface.

Surface Preparation:
All water slide surfaces will be properly prepared with SlideRenu cleaning products and/or other commercial surface prep products which meet or exceed current environmental regulations.

Water Slide Coating Specifications:
All slide surfaces to be re-coated with SlideRenu® ColorShield™ will be applied at the recommended DFT(Dry Film Thickness) coverage rates established by the coating’s manufacturer.

Warranty:
The City of Warren desires a minimum three (3) year warranty on any and all defects in materials and workm
