The City of Wixom, on behalf of the Commerce, Walled Lake, and Wixom Trailway
Management (CW2) Council and Milford Township, invites qualified firms to submit proposals for a
one-time contract to perform Design Engineering Services associated with completing a set of
plans for the development of Phase 2 of the MI Air Line Trail—approximately 2.4 miles of shared
use, non-motorized path from Old Plank Road to the current terminus of Phase 1 of the MI Air Line
Trail at Wixom Road; within the communities of Milford Township and the City of Wixom.
Bidder must recognize that the timeframe for the design phase could be impacted for this project
because of grant/funding application deadlines. It is anticipated that the construction of the MI Air
Line Trail Phase 2 project will use a combination of federal, state and/or private funding. If grant
applications are successful, construction is anticipated during the 2021/2022 seasons.
