The City is seeking to purchase between 9-15 multi-space meters to serve a mix of on-street and in-lot parking spaces, with appropriate warranties and service contracts. These meters must be able to be powered primarily by solar and a rechargeable battery backup; accept coin and credit cards; integrate with ComPlus enforcement software, Passport mobile payment software, and optionally Point and Pay credit card processing; support pay-by-space options; and be able to be programmed and monitored remotely. Bill acceptance is not desired. The meters will be installed by the vendor.
In addition, the City would like these meters to be able to collect and analyze parking data provided by these units so that the City may assess usage trends, offer a high level of customer service, implement Transportation Demand Management strategies and tools, and make the work of City staff more efficient and effective.
