Affirmative Action Ordinance: Prospective bidders shall satisfactory complete the enclosed Affirmative Action Ordinance Forms and Submit them with the bid submittal. Wage Rates: All wages must comply with the prevailing wages for this locality in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act (Title 40,USC 276A-5). Prevailing wages contained in the wage determination of the Secretary of Labor shall govern. Living Wage Ordinance: Effective June 24, 1999, the City of Ypsilanti (under local ordinance 892) requires that persons receiving financial benefit from the City of Ypsilanti pay their employees a living wage. Financial benefit shall mean (1) any contract to primarily furnish services in the amount of $20,000, or more, in any 12 month period, or (2) the receipt of grant money, financial assistance, or tax abatement in the amount of $20,000, or more, in any 12 month period. Financial benefit does not include maintenance services purchased at the time of the purchase of equipment.
