Bids are requested for a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options for the purchase and delivery of bulk ferrous chloride, as per the specifications contained herein.

The City of Grand Rapids desires a one-year term contract, with two, one-year renewal options for the “as needed” purchase and delivery of ferrous chloride chemical product that is ready and available for use upon confirmation of an order. No product development of any type, shape, or form shall be allowed or accepted by the City over the life of the contract. Orders shall be placed in full tanker loads.
The work shall include all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide and deliver ferrous chloride and pneumatic unloading servicing with a 2” disconnect of same on an “as needed” basis. Historically, the City averaged approximately 84 (4500 gallon loads) over the last 24 months, amounting to approximately 380,000 gallons of ferrous chloride at the concentrations provided herein.
Contractor shall note that deliveries may be on a daily basis to the Water Resource Recovery Facility 1300 Market SW Grand Rapids MI 49503, as designated by the Project Manager. The Contractor shall have and maintain geographical knowledge of the City of Grand Rapids and general West Michigan area (Kent and Ottawa counties) for any other agency.
