The City of Grand Rapids desires the establishment of a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options for “as needed” purchase and delivery (including any required unloading) of liquid citric acid 50% that is ready and available for use upon confirmation of order, as per the specifications contained herein. The product will be utilized by the Environmental Services Department during normal operations of an Ultrafiltration biodigester unit that has been in operation since the fall of 2022. Any products proposed shall have an extensive, proven track record of use in other municipal systems, preferably within the United States.
No product development of any type, shape, or form shall be allowed or accepted by the City over the life of the contract. The unit pricing proposed will apply to all periodic shipments delivered upon City request. The City desires product manufactured in the United States.
The product shall be delivered in 275 or 330-gallon IBC totes, as ordered by the City Project Manager. The City Project Manager shall work with the selected vendor to determine the tote exchange process.
