The City of Grand Rapids desires a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options for the “as needed” services for removing and
properly disposing of rubbish and all forms of discarded material from privately owned lots and yards (including occupied properties),
mowing and removing all grass and weed clippings and brush from lots and yards (including occupied properties), and securing vacant
structures. Bid pricing proposed shall be based on an hourly rate per person, and shall include but not be limited to any and all
mobilization, service charges, labor, and equipment.
As the City will provide work order information electronically, the City requires any Contractor to have knowledge of and maintain functioning equipment (such as a laptop, desktop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) with Internet access capabilities to allow for receipt of work orders and communications, allow for electronic submittal of completed work orders, and the ability to submit photographs electronically. It is expected any electronic communication will occur during normal business hours. All work order information is processed through Accela; the City will provide training and overview of the system with the awarded vendor.
