Pre-Bid Meeting:
All bidders are highly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting for verification of scope of project for each work location/section that the bidder is submitting a bid response. Bidders shall be held to have examined the premises and satisfied themselves as to the areas, products, and services required which they shall be obligated to provide, or that in any way affects the work under this contract. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection, on behalf of the Contractor for any negligence on their part. The pre-bid meeting will be held on October 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at 509 Wealthy SW, 2nd floor, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

Additional Bidding Instructions

The Contractor shall expect to remove new snow from the City’s sidewalks when there has been an accumulation of >2”of snow according to the National Weather Service, to as close to the concrete as possible and no more than ½-inch of existing hard packed snow and ice. The Contractor shall be notified by the City’s Project Manager when snow removal is required to be performed by the Contractor. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel costs/surcharges, and shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary snowplow license necessary to complete the Sidewalk Snowplowing program as specified herein.
