The City of Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities is accepting sealed bids for purchase of a new dump truck conforming to the attached specifications:
Bids are to be for a 2018 or newer model and include delivery to the Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities at 45 Monroe St. Hillsdale MI 49242.
Model
Example of models to be quoted would be the Ford F-450, F-550 or Dodge Ram 4500, 5500 or Chevy or GMC equivalent, this would be at least a class 4 or 5 truck
FEATURES AND OPTIONS
1. Engine - Gasoline fueled with automatic transmission
2. Chassis - 4 wheel drive, regular cab, with a 10 ft. steel dump box
3. Trailer tow package with Pintle Hitch and Electric brake control, 7-way round trailer plug
4. All terrain tires including a full size spare
5. Cloth seats 40/20/40 splint bench front seat
6. Air conditioning, Anti-lock brake system
7. Pre-wired up-fitter switches if available
8. Roof Marker lights and Back-up alarm
9. Front tow hooks along with step bars or entry assist steps
10. Green Exterior with large towing mirrors
Dump Box is to have drop down side panels and be painted black with 2 strobe lights above the cab protector wired into the cab. Manual tarp system and LED lights
Bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at which time they will be opened and read. All bids are to be clearly labeled “BPU DUMP TRUCK”.
The Board of Public Utilities reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bid process and to award such bid as is most advantageous to the Board of Public Utilities.
