Summary of Specifications:
PURPOSE OF SOLICITATION – TO OBTAIN INFORMATION: The purpose of this Solicitation is to provide Vendors with sufficient information regarding the County’s needs in order to enhance our current cameras and video recording storage needs at the Sheriff’s Department, Jail Division, located at 150 S. Highlander Way, Howell, MI 48843. It is agreed and understood that Responses to this Solicitation are considered to be working documents while they are under consideration and as such, are not subject to official bid openings. It is the intent of Livingston County to proceed with a Request for Proposals or an Invitation to Bid based on the information received from the Solicitation. Only those Vendors who submit an RFI response will have the opportunity to bid on the Request for Proposal or Invitation to Bid for this project. This request will provide information to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Jail Division, for their use in obtaining information needed to assist products and technology that are appropriate for the use intended. The information gathered will be used to ensure that we use reliable, cost effective equipment to support the current needs and for potential future growth. The current camera system requires changes and/or upgrades in technology to convert from analog cameras to digital output that will allow 24-hour monitored digital surveillance/recording of the Sheriff’s Department and parking lots.
