Summary of Specifications:
The County of Ottawa is soliciting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the financial statements for the following entities: Ottawa County, West Michigan Enforcement Team (WEMET), Ottawa County, Michigan Insurance Authority, Ottawa County Drain Commission, Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority, Ottawa County Road Commission and Ottawa County Public Utilities with the option of auditing the financial statements for four subsequent fiscal years. These audits are to be performed in accordance with current generally accepted auditing standards, the standards set forth for financial audits in the U.S. General Accounting Office’s (GAO) Government Auditing Standards, the provisions of the federal Single Audit Act amendments and U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations.
To be considered, four copies of a proposal must be received by June Hagan 12220 Fillmore, Room 331, West Olive, MI 49460 by 4:00 p.m. on October 5, 2007. The County of Ottawa reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted. Proposals submitted will be evaluated by a four member Audit Committee consisting of the County Administrator, Fiscal Services Director, Budget/Audit Manager and the Road Commission Finance Director.
