Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Proposal (RFP)Re-Bid, the Charter County of Wayne (County) hereby invites businesses who meet the qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide map indexing software for the Plat Engineering Department in the Register of Deeds Office (ROD). ROD will use the software to scan, index, easily search for and retrieve images for Land Corner Recordation Certificates, subdivision plat maps, Exhibit B Condominium drawings, Remonumentation corner dossiers, tract book images, and various other survey drawings. The software must also have the capacity to track the workflow of the department including access to electronic project logs and project checklists. The Proposer must maintain the software, train the Plat engineers, (and other staff as determined by the Register of Deeds or his designee) to use the software and support the staff in its use of the software. The software the Register of Deeds Office currently uses provides for scanned map and document retrieval along with creation of a raster/vector base map of the City of Detroit and Wayne County. The software includes a relational database the Wayne County Representative (Surveyor) uses for management and reporting functions required by the Wayne County Remonumentation Plan and the State Survey and Remonumentation Act (Public Act 345 of 1990).
