Summary of Specifications:
The Charter County of Wayne hereby invites businesses who meet the qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide an on-line database tool for personal research for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney Criminal Investigations Division. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has approximately 190 assistant prosecutors. To assist them, the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), is presently staffed with twelve sworn law enforcement police officers with full powers of arrest who hold the rank of Chief, Deputy Chief and Detective. The CID Detectives investigate criminal activity within Wayne County, the State of Michigan and in some instances throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. These criminal investigations include crimes against persons (I.E. Homicides, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Robbery, Child and Elder Abuse), crimes against property (I.E. arson, home invasion, auto theft, deed and mortgage fraud), Felony Child Support cases and narcotics investigations including forfeiture, locate witnesses and assist in preparing cases for court. The Detectives have used Lexis Nexis for the past several years, but are open to all solutions. PLEASE REVIEW THE FORMAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS.
