RFP-37-12-130 - Surveying and Remonumentaton Services

Summary of Specifications:
Charter County of Wayne hereby invites businesses who meet the qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide surveying and remonumentation services in defined areas of Wayne County.  Since 1993, Wayne County has received an annual grant from the State of Michigan for Remonumentation under Act 345 of P.A. 1990. From the 1993 grant year through the 2000 grant year, Wayne County used a number of contractors to work on property corners within designated areas of Wayne County. The corners completed by the various contractors established a control network with a minimum two-mile density for Digital Ortho Photo control. Beginning with the 2001 grant year and continuing through the 2012 grant year, we have had one Remonumentation Contractor responsible for completion of the work schedule for each grant year. The Remonumentation Contractor has worked directly with its subcontractors to complete the work under the contract. This format has worked well and we encourage the prime contractor under this contract to subcontract with experienced surveying firms who have successfully completed remonumentation work within Wayne County in past years.
