Summary of Specifications:
Public Act 123 of 1999, as amended, MCL 211.78 et seq. (Act 123), authorizes the Wayne County Treasurer (“County Treasurer”) to foreclose on tax-delinquent properties which were forfeited to the County Treasurer under MCL 211.78g. Act 123 requires the Treasurer to review certain county and local government information of record for purposes of identifying and notifying those persons holding an interest in real property that has been forfeited of the pendency of show cause and tax foreclosure hearings.
Pursuant to Wayne County Ordinance, the Purchasing Director for the County of Wayne is soliciting proposals, on behalf of the County Treasurer, from title search companies or individuals who are qualified pursuant to the terms of this RFP for future title search services in conjunction with the tax foreclosure procedures of Act 123. The Contract requires a one year commitment from the Successful Proposer, with two one-year renewal options. The title search services provided and the costs, fees and expenses associated with these services are governed by the terms and conditions of the Contract agreed to by the parties.
