7202 - Landscape Maintenance Services

The Authority requires a qualified contractor to landscape maintenance services at Huntington Place. 

The successful bidder shall provide services relative to landscape maintenance which will include, but not be limited to, the following:
 

1. Spring Clean up
   1. Remove leaves and debris from lawn and bed areas.
   2. Define and establish bed edges.
   3. Rake, repair and seed damaged (bare) turf areas.
2. Weekly Service (26 cuts)
   1. Mow, edge, and trim lawn areas. Blow clippings from paved areas, Pick up paper and debris from turf areas prior to mowing.
   2. Remove organic debris along curb lines and remove weeds from cracks in pavement.
3. Lawn Care
   1. Apply fertilizer and weed control to turf areas four times
   2. Include pre-emergent crabgrass control.
4. Bed Weeding (13 visits/ bi-weekly)
   1. Maintain beds in weed free condition, remove weeds from cracks.
   2. Apply vegetation control to beds and paved surfaces as needed.
5. Tree and Shrub Pruning (as needed)
   1. Prune all trees and shrubs to their natural form as needed per season.
   2. Remove deadwood as needed.
6. Fall Cleanup
   1. Remove leaves and debris from lawn and bed areas.
7. Watering
   1. Includes liquid fertilizer and weed killer every other week.
   2. Provide water containers to properly water all flowerpots, evergreens, minimum twice a week.
8. Seasonal Flower Rotation
   1. Spring installation of mixed pansies into fourteen (14) flowerpots.
   2. Summer installation of mixed annuals into fourteen (14) flowerpots.
   3. Plant trees on Congress Street (at cost of building) and maintain all flowerbeds on north side of Congress street.   
   4. Fall installation of mums into fourteen (14) flowerpots.

9. Mulch:
   1. Remove excess mulch, repair with new black mulch beds and tree rings. To be performed prior to any new mulch being installed.
   2. Supply and install double shredded black hardwood mulch to all beds and tree rings.
   3. Add black mulch on fourteen (14) flowerpots located on Huntington Place Property.
   4. Invoice black mulch ordered separately, approximately 25 yards.
10. Provide miscellaneous maintenance and repair labor as requested on a time and material basis.
11. Identify problems that may impact operational reliability and recommend corrective actions.
