The Project includes the following Work (all quantities approximate):
- 1,250 feet of reinforced concrete storm sewer ranging in size from 12-inch to 36-inch in
diameter.
- 8 storm sewer manholes ranging in size from 48-inch to 72-inch in diameter.
- 200 cubic yards of underground detention system removal.
- 90 cubic yards of engineered bioretention soil and plantings
- 1,800 of 8-inch aggregate base, 1,600 square yards of concrete road base, 370 tons of asphalt
paving, ADA concrete sidewalk ramps, driveways and turf grass restoration.
The Bidder hereby agrees to perform all work assigned by the Engineer no matter where located, at the
Unit Prices established in the Bid Schedule.
The Bidder agrees that any work, including unmarked underground utilities that may be required to
complete any specific item, shall be considered incidental and no claim for additional compensation
will be made.
Due to the extreme inconvenience to Detroit Water and Sewerage water service customers and the
public in general, and also due to seasonal restriction, water main replacement work may be temporarily
halted after the second week of November or as authorized by the Engineer. The Contract work shall
promptly resume during the third week of April of the following year or as authorized by the Engineer.
The Project has an expected duration of 120 calendar days.
