The Project includes the following Work (all quantities approximate):
- 12, 500 feet of reinforced concrete storm sewer ranging in size from 12-inch to 60-inch in diameter.
- 100 storm sewer manholes, catch basins, and inlets ranging in size from 24-inch to 120-in in diameter.
- Water quality systems treating 35 cfs and 7 cfs flows
- 2,500 of 24-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer
- 10 sanitary sewer manholes
- 150 water main service replacements
- 5 8-inch diameter water main lowerings
- 32,000 square yards of concrete paving
- 2,300 tons of HMA paving
- 13,000 square feet of sidewalks and sidewalk ramps
- 20,000 tons of aggregate base
The Bidder hereby agrees to perform all work assigned by the Engineer no matter where located, at the Unit Prices established in the Bid Schedule.
The Bidder agrees that any work, including unmarked underground utilities that may be required to complete any specific item, shall be considered incidental and no claim for additional compensation will be made.
Due to the extreme inconvenience to Detroit Water and Sewerage water service customers and the public in general, and also due to seasonal restriction, water main replacement work may be temporarily halted after the second week of November or as authorized by the Engineer. The Contract work shall promptly resume during the third week of April of the following year or as authorized by the Engineer.
The Project has an expected duration of 760 calendar days.
