RFP-CC-15-042 - HUCKLEBERRY RAILROAD TRACK CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR 2015

Summary of Specifications:
Arrangements to inspect the site can be made by sending an email request to ccarnes@co.genesee.mi.us. Requests to review the site must be made prior to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015. The project is located at Bridge 3 on the Huckleberry Railroad (HRR) which is located parallel to Stanley Road West of Genesee Road in Genesee Township Michigan. The work will involve removal and replacement of rail and ties between milepost 2.0 and mile 2.25. Bridge 3 is a tangent section located between two curved sections in the center of the work zone. Two contractors will be working on the project. The Track Services Contractor will be responsible for removal and replacement of the rail and OTM over and adjacent to Bridge 3 prior to the arrival of the Bridge Services Contractor, Following completion of the bridge repairs the Track Services Contractor will be responsible for reinstallation of rail and OTM over the bridge and approaches, replacement of ties in both directions from the bridge and final alignment and surfacing of the work zone.
