Through this RFP, Genesee County (“the County”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms who can manage and provide routine safeguarding located at 6140 Bray Road, Flint, MI 48505 and known as Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad. Safeguarding is meant to include property protection against any possible loss or damage from theft, fire, vandalism, illegal entry, or other causes. The successful proposer will work in coordination with and under the direction of the Commission’s Park Ranger division. Most day-to-day contact will be with Village Management.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 10:45 a.m. (EST), at Crossroads Village in the Millstreet Warehouse and Dining Room, 6140 Bray Road, Flint, MI 48505. All contractors submitting a proposal must attend the mandatory pre-proposal meeting and arrive within a reasonable time following the start of the meeting. This meeting will afford contractors the opportunity to obtain information about this project and ask any questions directly related to this solicitation. An attendance sheet will be provided and shall serve as the official document verifying attendance. Failure to attend this meeting shall result in disqualification of a contractor’s proposal.
