MTA is soliciting proposals from qualified Individuals/Companies to provide Resident Inspector Services for the manufacture of thirty-three (33) CNG 40’ Low Floor Heavy Duty Transit Buses at the Gillig LLC facility in Livermore, California. The buses must be manufactured according to the specifications of ITP’s RFP #2015-05, Heavy Duty Low Floor Transit Buses. Buses were funded through State and Federal Capital Grants. The buses will be manufactured and delivered in groups of eleven (11). The proposed delivery will be as follows:
November 2018 – 11 Buses
May 2019 – 11 Buses
November 2019 – 11 Buses
Resident Inspector will be required to work 24 hours per week starting the week of October 15, 2018 and continue until all vehicles are completed, inspected, all deficiencies are repaired and released for shipment to the MTA. Vehicles are to be delivered to MTA and shall include a list of repaired deficiencies along with a signed release form for each of the vehicles. Contract award will occur on or before September 1, 2018.
The RFP and Bus Specifications can be obtained electronically on the Bidnet Direct website at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/. Proposers will be able print out the proposal documents and specifications. The Proposer shall be responsible for the cost of reproductions. Bidnet Direct will be used to issue any addenda or information relative to the RFP requirements.
MTA makes no representations, warranties or agreements with respect to this RFP. In addition, MTA makes no commitment to purchase any products or services or take any other action, including but not limited to, awarding a contract to the individual/firm submitting the most qualified responsive proposal. MTA reserves the right to amend or cancel this RFP at any time for any or no reason. All amendments to this RFP shall be in writing.
