DESCRIPTION: Proposals are being solicited or the purpose of contracting for an Insurance Broker and related services for the County of Oakland. This contract is for a term of three (3) years, effective upon Notice of Award, with up to two (2) one-year renewals at the sole discretion of the County.
The purpose of this competitive RFP is to promote and ensure the fairest, most efficient means to obtain the best value to Oakland County, i.e., the proposal offering the greatest overall combination of qualifications, company capacity, experience, service, and price, which shall be assessed in accordance with the established evaluation criteria outlined in this RFP. Organizations interested in submitting a proposal in response to this RFP shall be referred to as “VENDOR” or “CONTRACTOR.”
The County of Oakland hereby invites firms that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit proposals for insurance broker and consulting services. Professional services include, but are not limited to, property and casualty insurance marketing, consulting, loss control and related services. Insurance premium quotations are not being requested at this time. No contact, solicitation or market reservations of insurance companies are to be made on the County’s behalf prior to completion of the bid award. Failure to comply with this mandate will disqualify your firm from this proposal process and any subsequent contract award.
