The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (OCWRC) operates and maintains over 1000 levels and meters throughout Oakland County’s sewage, sewage treatment, water and drain systems. OCWRC is seeking bids for instrumentation and control (I&C) calibration services.
Calibration services will include all meters and levels, level indicators, and gas detectors.
A. Calibration services must include the identification of equipment with the calibration status.
B. Any process/equipment used in the calibration must be traceable to a national standard. Documentation of the calibration must be provided and include the specific equipment identifier (alpha-numeric) and specific language which clearly identifies the trace back to the national standard.
C. Services will also include emergency calibration of instrumentation and control equipment.
Contractor shall be familiar and have working experience in a municipally operated water and sewer environment with the following equipment:
A. Fisher and Porter flow and level devices
B. Khrone magnetic flow meters
C. ABB magnetic flow meters and pressure transducers
D. Endress & Hauser magnetic flow meters and pressure transducers
E. Siemens magnetic flow meters
F. MSA gas detection equipment
G. Hach/GLI International instruments
H. Flexim meters
I. Sierra instruments meters
J. Siemens/Milltronics equipment
K. Vega Radar Equipment
L. Hart Communications Protocol
Billing shall begin upon arrival at the work site. Contractor shall not be compensated for travel time to and from the work site. Mileage can be reimbursed.
The cost of incidental supplies is to be included as overhead in the hourly rates listed in the pricing section below.
Contractor shall provide the hourly rates as listed below. It is up to the bidder’s discretion to add any additional line items that may be necessary for work.
A. Contractor may include copies of their company’s hourly rate/pricing schedule.
B. Contractor shall include minimum union working hours (if any) in the bid submission
C. Mobilization and Demobilization fees are included in the rates provided. The hourly rate is only paid while onsite.
a) Regular Labor (M-F, 7am-5pm): $ per hour
b) Overtime Labor (M-F, 5pm-7am): $ per hour
c) Holiday and Weekend Labor: $ per hour
d) Mileage: $ per mile
D. Contractor to provide a schedule of equipment rates for any calibration equipment that may be used.
E. Provide emergency response time and rates if different than above.
This contract is a service contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extending the contract to 5 total years.
Multiple contracts may be awarded for the above-mentioned services. There is no guarantee for a minimum amount of work during the contract period.
