Tank Information:
The structure is a 1,000,000 gallon water storage reservoir with an estimated sidewall height of
40 ft. and an estimated diameter of 67 ft. located at 34136 Grand River Ave., Farmington, Michigan.
Scope of Work:
Exterior Roof: Water dampen abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard, and apply a
four (4) coat zinc epoxy urethane fluoropolymer system.
Exterior Sidewall: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi), spot power tool clean to a
SSPC-SP11 standard, and apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane urethane system.
Foundation: Water clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system, seal the baseplate with a
polyurethane caulk.
Cathodic Protection: Install an impressed current cathodic protection system.
Trim Tree Branches: Trim all tree branches that will interfere with rigging or painting.
Repairs:
1) Install sidewall manway.
2) Install overflow flap gate.
3) Install fall prevention device on the exterior ladder.
4) Install step-off platform with railing.
5) Relocate antennas to the handrail.
6) Replace vent with a frost-free roof vent.
