Help Me Grow Michigan is dedicated to refining its data collection processes to ensure the data we gather is clean, consistent, and impactful. Currently, our affiliates collect data for the annual Help Me Grow fidelity assessment, but we see greater potential in systematically capturing additional data on service gaps and barriers. To support this effort, we are seeking consultation to help identify and collect meaningful data points that will contribute to enhancing the early childhood system for families.
To streamline data management, we need a comprehensive data dashboard to visualize our Help Me Grow data including, referral trends, types of services requested by families, service gaps/barriers, and referral results across our network. Our current data is scattered across various systems like MiECC, MiEarlyChildhood.org, Brookes ASQ Online System, and Google Sheets, making it challenging to consolidate and analyze. By developing a unified data dashboard, we aim to centralize this information and track children's participation in early childhood services from birth to kindergarten entry, improving accessibility and usability.
Additionally, Help Me Grow Michigan has valuable Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) developmental screening and fidelity assessment data that requires evaluation. We seek an external evaluator to analyze this data, helping us understand the needs of children and families, assess our impact, and advocate for necessary improvements. This evaluation will provide insights into program effectiveness and guide resource allocation, ultimately enhancing our ability to serve families better and supporting data-driven decision-making for early childhood stakeholders.
